Project Update - January 2025:

Our middle school renovation project continues to move forward, despite the very cold weather and snowy days we've been having. Walls are going up, and we're looking forward to kicking off our next school year in our newly renovated building. Thanks to IICON Construction Colorado, LLC's team for their dedication to this project.

Nuestro proyecto de renovación de la escuela intermedia sigue avanzando, a pesar del clima muy frío y los días nevados que hemos tenido. Las paredes están tomando forma, y estamos emocionados de comenzar el próximo año escolar en nuestro edificio recién renovado. Project Update - October 2024:

It's been two months since our last update on our middle school's renovation project. The steel frame for the addition to the King building is going up! We continue to see changes that remind us that exciting changes await our middle schooler's 2025-2026 school year.

Han pasado dos meses desde nuestra última actualización sobre el proyecto de renovación de nuestra escuela intermedia. ¡La estructura de acero para la ampliación del edificio King ya está en construcción! Seguimos viendo avances que nos recuerdan que nos esperan cambios emocionantes para el año escolar 2025-2026 de nuestros estudiantes de secundaria.

Project Update - August 2024:

It’s time for a Middle School Renovation Update! The bus lane's asphalt has been resurfaced and, with all of the rain we've received recently, we've had to dewater and clean up the excavated areas so they can dry out. Footing forms and rebar are being added and we're excavating the detention pond (an ongoing process). Hooray for forward progress!

¡Es hora de una actualización sobre la renovación de la escuela intermedia! El asfalto del carril de autobuses ha sido renovado y, con toda la lluvia que hemos recibido recientemente, hemos tenido que desaguar y limpiar las áreas excavadas para que se sequen. Se están añadiendo los moldes de cimentación y el refuerzo de acero, y estamos excavando el estanque de detención (un proceso en curso). ¡Hurra por el progreso!

Project Update - May 31, 2024:

Middle School Renovation Project Update! The Renovation project continues to move forward and we’re excited with the progress! The King bathrooms are getting demolished and we're waiting on permits to keep working on the recess field.

¡Actualización del proyecto de renovación de la escuela intermedia! Los baños de King están siendo demolidos y estamos esperando permisos para seguir trabajando en el campo de recreo. ¡El proyecto de renovación continúa avanzando y estamos entusiasmados con el progreso!.

Project Update - May 10, 2024:

The west playfield is being prepared for the new building that will be housed there. iiCon construction has placed their safety construction fencing around the work area and bus riders are now entering through the King cafeteria to avoid the active construction area.

General FAQS:

When will the project start? 

You’ll begin to see construction happening as soon as Monday, April 29. 

Will school be closed during construction? 

Despite the extensive renovations, school operations will remain uninterrupted. Recess will take place on the soccer fields just south of the King building during the project. 

Are you tearing down everything and building a new school? 

We considered this in our planning, but it was more efficient to add on to what we already have. Specifically, the project will focus on enhancing and expanding the south (King) building, then demolishing the north (Lincoln) building. Among the notable additions will be a new play field and a state-of-the-art gymnasium. The gym will feature regulation basketball and volleyball courts, providing students with enhanced athletic opportunities.
