120 students. 120 families. One unforgettable night. ✨

Our annual Adopt a Student event brought our community together in the most beautiful way. Students and their families enjoyed a home-cooked meal, crafts, games, and gifts chosen just for them—all made possible by our incredible Atlas staff, local businesses, and community partners.

This year we BROKE OUR RECORD, supporting 120 students (up from 79 last year!) because when this community shows up, magic happens. 💙

To every donor, volunteer, and supporter: you reminded these families that they are seen, valued, and celebrated. Thank you for being the heart of Atlas.

Specifically, we want to shout out the following who made this event our best one yet:

  • Tribe Church, for helping us welcome families who had never participated in this program before

  • Extended Stay America, for generously donating an entire load of gifts for our student raffle

  • Atlas Staff and Board of Directors, for donating over and above what they already give daily for our Atlas students and families

  • The Robinson Family, for contributing towards our event costs and gift purchases

Want to be part of next year's event? Contact David Turner at david.turner@atlasschools.org or 719-358-7196 ext. 114.

🐸 A ribbiting time was had in honors bio last week!
Led by Mr. Cattin, students leapt into a frog dissection, muscling through some toad-ally strong smells and plenty of squirmy reactions. It wasn’t always pretty, but it was hands-on, unforgettable learning that really deepened their understanding of anatomy! 🧪😄

👋Saying goodbye is never easy, and that remains true when we said goodbye to Mr. Tom last week. Mr. Tom began his Atlas journey 14 years ago, in 2012, working as a bus monitor alongside our transportation team.

🚌Students looked forward to his kind, gentle heart as they rode to and from school every day. His wife, Michele, as seen in some of these photos, worked at Atlas as our Transportation Manager for over a decade, too. A true power couple! We are forever thankful for Michele and Tom's service to our Atlas community.

You will be missed, Mr. Tom. Thank you for everything!

Our high school staff sets the tone for what it means to be known, challenged, and supported. 💙

From the very start of senior year at Senior Summit, they show up fully, building relationships, setting expectations, and walking alongside our students as they step into this milestone year. We’re grateful for a team that invests deeply in our seniors and believes in who they are becoming.

Staying connected to your student’s school is a top priority for us here at Atlas. That’s why we use two apps to help you stay informed and engaged every step of the way.

PowerSchool lets you view your student’s schedule, grades, and attendance, update your contact information, and sign required documents.

The Atlas Schools App helps you message your student’s advisor, receive school and class updates, report absences, check dining menus, and more.

Need help getting started? Visit AtlasSchools.org > Families for step-by-step how-to videos. Still have questions? Our Family Center is open Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and we’re happy to help.

At Atlas, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. 🌄

Through educational excellence, character development, and community engagement, Atlas prepares and empowers all students for success on their post-graduate paths. Whether they’re tackling a tough lesson, supporting one another, or exploring the outdoors together, our students are building the skills and character that will carry them forward.

Moments like these reflect who we are: a community growing, learning, and moving forward together.

From our Atlas Nurse, Ms. Ramirez:
🤒Flu cases are rising across Colorado. Please help keep our community healthy by practicing good hand hygiene, keeping sick students home, and watching for flu symptoms like fever, cough, and fatigue. 😷

😊Students should be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school.😊
