The 11th-grade AP U.S. History project has become a significant milestone for students in the course. This comprehensive assignment involves creating a visual review that encompasses all the knowledge acquired throughout the year, covering U.S. History from 1491 to 1990.
Students are responsible for developing a large, categorized visual summary of the entire curriculum on a shower curtain, organizing key concepts, events, and themes into distinct sections.
The project requires students to analyze historical events and documents, explaining their significance both individually and within the broader historical context.

In April, our Atlas High School seniors experienced something special, Career Day, a full day designed to open doors and spark possibilities.
The day included:
🎤 Mock Interviews: With local professionals volunteering their time to coach our seniors
🏛️ Exhibitor Tables: Featuring the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, PPSC Promise, UCCS, CSU-Pueblo, PPWFC, and Careers in Construction
🍽️ Keynote + Catered Lunch: Headlined by Atlas alum Julio, who came back to inspire the next generation
💼 Career Spotlights: Students got an up-close look at careers in social work, auto sales, translation, sonography, engineering, real estate, electrical work, firefighting, nursing, and more!
Atlas's mission is to prepare and empower all students for success on their post-graduate paths through educational excellence, character development, and community engagement.
Days like this are proof that we mean it.
